DLO transpod

DLO Transpod image

Completely wireless music from your iPod while you're driving using the DLO transpod FM transmitter. This is the most feature full iPod FM transmitter we've looked at so far. Why you as? Well for starters it not only acts as a FM tuning device but it also:

    * Charges
    * Holds
    * and Transmits

Some of the other FM units can pull a drain on your iPod batteries. This isn't the best concept since the iPod battery can be a bit finicky. While the DLO device charges your iPod and powers itself all from the 12V cigarette adapter in your dash. It's a simple concept but it's smart!

It fits in any type of vehicle, and can be placed anywhere because of the adjustable mount. Now a down side to the DLO transpod is that it only works with 3rd generation, or 4th generation, or iPod Mini's. Sorry to any of you not sporting a newer unit.

Working on any frequency between 88.1 FM and 107.9 FM it's easy to find a station that will work in your local area. With some of the units that have preset FM bands to work with there's the possibility that you may not find a match between the Presets and you local area (unlikely, but the DLO transpod ensures this won't occur.).

The transpod isn't the smallest fm unit available for the iPod but because it doubles as a holder and charger it makes up for it. The price point is a little higher then units like the iTrip, but with the added features it's definitely worth checking out.
