The concept of an fm transmitter isn't new. CD changers for the trunk of your car have been using it for several years. The concept is simple. Set the device to broadcast on a particular pre-set FM band (one that isn't used by a radio station in your area), generally most players offer several to choose from. First known to the industry for car audio accessories, and cables they branched out into the Home audio and video market, and now into the iPod world! There have been some complaints that the FM transmitters don't supply the quality of sound expected from an iPod. You should keep in mind how a radio works, since it's not a wired system, there is bound to be sometimes when something interupts the signal, or you can't quite seem to get everything sync'd right; but that's a small price to pay for the ease of use that these accessories provide.
