Looking for a small unit to pack big sound for your iPod? Then the Logitech iPod speakers will do the trick. Like other iPod speakers the Logitech mm22 system will operate on batteries (4 AAA's not included) or an AC adapter. So you can enjoy tunes anywhere not just indoors where there's access to a plug.

The price is quite attractive on the Logitech system, they largest feature they seem to boast is that it's foldable into a carry case. Once done using your speakers they fold up into a hard shell case. Good for protection, and the only system like it on the market.

While Logitech states their iPod speakers "delivery silky smooth audio" we're getting pretty familiar with what types of tunes sound good coming from these smaller speaker systems. Chances are the Logitech iPod speakers fit in with the rest of the bunch such that pop, rock, jazz etc. sound reasonably good at low to medium volumes, but rap and dance just don't get the bottom end bass needed to fill out the sound. This isn't a major surprise though considering the size of their Quad micro drivers.

One downfall to this system is that it doesn't charge the iPod while it's playing. Several of the other units offer a charge feature while your iPod is placed in the speaker's cradle or dock. Again not the worst and for the sub $60 price point you can live with it.

Designed to work with the iPod 3G, 4G, mini, and Photo iPod the Logitech iPod speakers are a good bang for the buck. If you're considering an iPod speaker system and aren't audiophiles then give this system a chance, you might be surprised. You can check out the Logitech MM22 system below.
